From: Joel Saltzman's Shake That Brain! ®
To: Meeting Planners

Joel wants YOUR job to be as easy as possible. For example, you can get his 300 dpi photo just by clicking here. And you
can use his FREE Shake That Brain! e-mail post cards to help promote your event — sending these cards to everyone on your list. (Details below.)

Meanwhile, Joel's requests are minimal and he's ALWAYS ready to improvise, no matter the challenge. Still, you're making a serious investment and you deserve to get the benefit of your bargain — and more. That said, here's what works best:

Program Customization

Since all Shake That Brain! ® programs are prepared with advance input from management and/or select attendees, please provide the name, phone numbers and titles of six or so people (representative of the audience) with whom Joel can talk as soon as the event is booked. The more time he has for research, the better he can target his presentation to your specific needs.

Company or Association Background

We'd also appreciate receiving:
1. Agenda of conference/meeting
2. Past conference/meeting brochure
3. Corporate reports, newsletters, etc. about the company or association

Audio/Visual Needs

A wireless lavalier (clip-on) SHURE microphone.
A flip-chart and markers.
Depending on the program, he may require a PowerPoint projector.

Room Set Up

Since Joel moves around a lot — and we mean a LOT! — his biggest request is that you NOT give him a lectern. Just give him enough room to be able to get to as many people as possible. He can work with classroom, theatre or round table seating. But please: NO LECTERN.

RISERS at the front of the room work best, ganging up FOUR, if possible, to make a large rectangle.

If the room is rectangular, it's best to position the risers along the middle of the long side.

Please provide as well:

1-WAITER'S STAND, covered with a table-cloth and a waiter's tray on top of that. (We'll use that to play craps - and make a valuable point.) Don't worry; these are EASY to come by!

1-ROUND TABLE (36-42") for Joel's books - which he gives away like water to anyone who gets an answer right, or just plain participates. (Think Monty Hall, but dressed better.)

Shake That Brain! (Program Description)

Joel Saltzman will start our meeting off with a BLAST of enthusiasm by teaching us to Shake That Brain!® and discover solutions for maximum profit. Easily. Consistently. And while having lots of FUN. (Includes breaking delicate objects, shattering everyday assumptions, and on-stage brain surgery.)

Joel will present creative and inspiring techniques for solving problems and creating winning solutions - all with an eye on the bottom line. (Plus, he loves to give away free books!) So be prepared to broaden your mindset and strengthen your upper-body solution finding skills.
You'll learn to:

o Shake, rattle, and question your assumptions - they're crippling you!
o Turn your worst ideas into GREAT ideas
o Learn the power of "Opposites Thinking"
o Have "Yes" meetings only
o Generate and implement bold new solutions - by using just what's in the room.

Joel's presentations have racked up kudos from professionals in numerous organizations, including Gold's Gym, Warner Bros. Studios and Meeting Planners International. In 2000 he won a national Audie award for "Best Educational and Training Audio." People magazine has called his work "witty and rewarding" and Joel agrees. The author of four Best Selling books, his latest book is "Shake That Brain!" (Wiley, 2006). www.shakethatbrain.com/wow

If you'd like, feel free to use Joel's "12 Top Tips to Shake That Brain!" postcards to send to your prospective attendees in the months prior to your event. 1) They're free, and 2) they'll help to "beat the drum" about your upcoming event - leading to greater enthusiasm AND greater attendance!

To preview all 12, click on: "Shake That Brain!" Retro Postcards

To send a card to everyone on your e-mail list just choose a card, write out your message and send it to yourself. You'll then receive - via e-mail - a website link to your newly created postcard.
